Happy Thanksgiving!! Last Friday we meet for the last time until December 4th and so we decided to go ahead and do our thanksgiving party. We read thanksgiving books, and sang songs about turkeys and indians, and then we did an indian craft, we used a toilet paper roll, paper, feathers, and markers, i thought mine was cute! i would have taken a picture of Landen's if he hadn't decided to throw it away! Well I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!!

B is for birthday, so tuesday was jen's birthday and isabelle just had a birthday last sunday so we had b is for brownies to celebrate. it was a fun day. for a craft we blew into a dish with bubble solution through a straw to paint a cut out butterfly. and for games we played basketball and like a 'cake' walk where they ended up on a picture that started with the letter b and had to name what it was. for music time we sang a song that had the months in it and then had whoever had a birthday in that month stand up. so anyways happy birthday to jen and isabelle, again!

E is for elephant

Today we did the letter E and did a lot with elephants. we did music and movement where they sang elephant songs and made elephant movements. They also made elephant paper bags for their craft, which i couldn't seem to get Landen's to scan so here is a picture of the example from the website. They cut out the elephant and glued it to a lunch size paper bag so they could move the elephant's mouth. Today i was in charge of games and so we played a game where i took the letters in their names and cut them out individually so they would have to spell their name out and learn that only the first letter in their name is a capitol letter. Then we did the old egg and spoon race, ending with making playdough elephants. Review and good-bye! the end of the day!

Halloween Party

So for friday, since it was halloween, we decided to just do some fun stuff instead of actual school. we did start with calendar just so the kids would realize we were still doing preschool and then we made masquerade mask, where the kids glued feathers and yarn and colored their masks. Then they got to decorate (and eat!) ghost cookies, which mostly ended up in my carpet, oh my!! Then for the big activity! We painted the pumpkins that we went and picked up the week before! We also stuff little halloween bags to give out at trunks of treat then we put on music and let the kids dance around and have a costume parade!!!
